The 4.5″ Stage 2 Suspension System designed for 2009-2012 Ram 2500/3500 vehicles builds upon the technology employed in the 2.5″ systems by providing increased lift height and ground clearance. In addition to leveling the stance, this system introduces additional front-end components that ensure the correct steering geometry and enhance performance across the entire range of travel, whether on or off-road. The Stage 2 System is composed of dual-rate coil springs, tubular steel upper and lower link arms, polyurethane bump stops with billet extensions, sway bar drop brackets, a forged pitman arm, a track bar drop bracket, rear 2.5″ lift blocks with U-bolts, and premium 2.0 Aluminum Series remote reservoir shocks. The inclusion of remote reservoir shocks enhances the kit’s performance by providing consistent damping over extended use, regardless of the driving conditions. ICON’s steel upper and lower links improve performance, strength, and alignment range, effectively reducing the binding issues associated with factory link bushings. This performance system, complete with link arms, is well-suited for tasks like towing, navigating rough construction site terrains, and traveling on country dirt roads, all while maintaining a smooth highway feel. Installing this kit allows for the proper clearance of 35″ tall tires without requiring modifications, and with minimal fender well trimming, it can accommodate some 37″ tires.
