Back in 1998 when the Civic Type R EK9 came out, Spoon Sports released an 11k gauge cluster for the car. Ballade remembered seeing this in the Best Motoring Video 20 years ago! It was the coolest thing ever! Even though you would rarely ever need that high of rpm, but it was so cool!
So with the help of Ballades contracted Electrical engineer, who is also the guy AEM electronics calls to help them with their projects, they have developed a circuit board to recalibrate the S2k cluster to read up to 11k rpm’s!!
This means they had to create a new face plate and screen print all new rpm readout locations. Since we redesigned the cluster facia, we decided to give it a modern look as well. We followed Honda’s CR Speedo cluster color scheme. White and yellow lines for the gauges but on your older Ap1 or Ap2v1 read outs.
You do not need a new cluster, this kit will give you a new glass face to replace your old beat up cluster glass and a PCB unit to wire into your dash harness behind the cluster. This will recalibrate your rpm readings to the new 11k rpm redlines!
